We currently manufacture many of the rail industry and locomotive components for the latest in environmental friendly technology.

These components aid in providing better adhesion, dramatic fuel savings and low maintenance costs. Our sub frames can handle multiple engine GenSets in end or center-cab styles. World-class, reliable electronic control systems manage all engine and traction motor functions for optimal fuel management and significantly improved adhesion capability. Along with the subframe we also manufacture the battery boxes, chopper towers, chopper rooms, oil tanks, along with many other frame components such as inside and outside bolsters, air ducting, end plates, and walkways. The result is a state of the art locomotive that operates cleaner and has a longer service life than any road-switcher available today.

AAR/M-1003 for Railroads

Fast Tracking to ISO 9001:2000 with AAR/M-1003 (2003)

Over the Years, The Association of American Railroads (AAR) has Updated the AAR M-1003 Specification for Quality Assurance to Reflect Similar Requirements of The ISO 9000 Standards. The M-1003 Specification for Quality Assurance began aligning with the ISO 9000 standards at the 1995 issue. The Railroad Quality Assurance Committee continued to evaluate revisions of the M-1003 (2003) to ensure further alignment with the ISO 9001:2000 standard (ISO 9001).

The 2003 Edition of Specification M-1003, Section J for Quality Assurance, covers the requirements for Association of American Railroads (AAR) approval of products, services, and materials. These include “new and reconditioned components.” The specification was developed to ensure safety, interchangeability, and cost effectiveness of manufactured materials, products, and services. Quality requirements and continued reduction of variation and waste are essential to the final customer, supply base, and certified organization.
